About this Site

The purpose of this web site is to serve mainly as a focal point to assist individuals and hospital laboratories in the Kenora Rainy River Region. There are many different issues external to our own laboratory facility that affect all staff that work in Region, not least of which is with each other. It is hoped this web site will help tie together those people and their institutions more closely, promote better form of communication, encourage the exchange of ideas, let everyone contribute ideas and forward concerns to those in a leadership position, allow individuals to "peek in" on what is going on in other laboratory communities, promote common standards and approaches, and share continuing education resources online.

This web site is also open to anyone else who should take an interest in the Kenora Rainy River Regional Laboratory Program. We are trying to reach out to anyone else who is a stakeholder or a potential stakeholder in laboratory issues in our geographic area. However, much of the site has been made secure in order to respect copyright issues, employee and patient confidentiality, and promote freer discussion of issues.
